We celebrated the holiday season with a Christmas Tea and a right/left gift exchange. What a great time to have a tea party as everyone is so busy for the holidays with shopping and preparing for arrival of family and guests. This was a great time set aside an hour or two with friends and relax with a cup of tea, a sandwich and play a fun game. White linen table cloths were set with our finest bone china and our fancy gold dinnerware was brought out and placed on the beautiful vibrant red napkins and the centerpiece was placed just right in anticipation of our guests arrival. As soon as everyone arrived, the tea cups were filled and the mousse liver pate was passed along with the Brioche toasts to start with. Non traditional sandwiches were served. pastrami on rye with a cheddar horseradish cheese and pickles, Italian sub style sandwich with mortadella, capocollo and salami on sourdough and egg salad sandwiches. Then it was time for our game to be played. Everyone that came brought a gift and as the story was read when the storyteller said right the gift in front of you was passed to the right, if the story teller said left then it was passed to the left and at the end of the story you kept the gift that was in front of you.
